FREE to the public, Bethlehem A.D. is each year on December 21, 22, and 23 from 6-9:30pm. Visited this outdoor, interactive, living Nativity in downtown Redwood City. Fun for children and adults, this is an event you will not want to miss!
This event recreates the ancient village of Bethlehem on the night of the first Christmas. Many know it as one of the largest living nativities in California! In a 15 minute walk, visitors encounter Roman Centurions, Tax Collectors, a marketplace including potters and bakers, craftspeople, folk dancers, Inn keepers and a menagerie of animals for petting!
Local dignitaries (including the Redwood City Mayor and Chief of Police), play the part of the wisemen. Everything culminates at the manger, which is surrounded by angels and music. Bethlehem A.D. is a one-of-a-kind Holiday experience creating a deep sense of community that unites people of diverse cultural, religious, and economic backgrounds.
Golf carts are available for the physically challenged and shuttles run from the Kaiser Hospital Parking garage.
